Everything he touches turns to 💩

His whole modus operandi throughout his adult life has been to destroy things other people cherish. Remember the friezes on the Bonwitt Teller building back in the 80s? He is an aesthetic berserker running rampage through the Nation’s Capitol. But he is giving the Dems their campaign ads for the election.

Yes! I remember that!! He lied promising he would keep the historical art deco architecture and then once the deal went through he promptly did just the opposite.

or as the title of Rick Wilson's book says: "Everything trump Touches Dies"

beginning to feel 'on purpose' too me

Every nickel he made off us should be confiscated. But I have little hope for that.

yeah the useless dem politicians will not prosecute ALL the felonies and get the taxpayer $ back from all who profited.... dem establishment politicians are pathetic and DO NOT REPRESENT 'WE THE PEOPLE'.... look at the way 'bipartisan biden' failed to get the people's money back, and idiotic merrick garland slow walked the few prosecutions they did follow up on....

hire an army of class action lawyers to sue the billionaires and criminals that benefitted from the trump corruption, and get every single cent back from criminal trump and his disgusting family...

Need a huge makeover of the Dept of Justice and the Supreme Court first.

The entire Capitol District is going to require extensive restoration when he's gone. Have you seen what he's done to where the Rose Garden used to be? I understand he's putting in a helipad on the South Lawn that he destroyed. He has destroyed our beautiful Classical capitol with a bunch of schmatz. Like some golden monster came in and threw up all over the place. IT WAS NEVER HIS TO REMODLE IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Steven Branch's avatar

Yes, Tish. It will take years to scrape off the gawdy gold gilding he has slapped on the interior of the White House. The only taste this asshole has is in his puckered mouth.

Trump's entire history is hiring cronies to do shoddy work. That's how he always made money. Thank goodness for Senator Whitehouse. Trump and family should have to be made to pay for renovations.

MollyWhitebear's avatar

And still no one is stopping him.

Here he is now replacing the 200 year old white marble columns on the north side of the White House. Those are load bearing and I'm betting whoever the contractor of his choice is, they will not take that into account when they pull them down and put up the most likely shitty Temu replacement columns he wants. Because of course, he always wants to cut corners so the shittiest materials imaginable will be used. I'm betting they collapse before long. By the time he finally leaves, the whole WH will look just like the East Wing does...COMPLETE WRECKAGE!

Jayne Spence's avatar

He is just awarding these contracts to pay off his donors and buddies. He forgive a shit if they do a good job at a fair cost or not. Guess who’s left holding the tab?

Linda (Evanston IL)'s avatar

The whistleblowers cannot sue trump but could there be a lawsuit against the contractors that will send their companies in to bankruptcy?

The mind of a child at work here, not surprised. Congressional republicans could have and still can stop this lunacy, instead they choose to be part of it.

Makes me sick to think of the beautiful Kennedy center and what the “narcissist in chief” is doing to it. He has no right to lay a hand on it yet he continues to. The tarp hiding whatever he is doing behind it should be illegal. Maybe it is.

Just another money laundering scheme. No bid contract to a buddy at an extraordinary price. Buddy does crappy work and pays Trump a kick back. So not only is Trump making out on his crypto scam he is also taking our tax dollars and pocketing it. Follow the $$$$$

Lori Bukoski's avatar

This news, though not unexpected...given EVERYTHING else we know...makes me SICK to my stomach.

It renews my anger at all the people who voted for him to move back into the WH, in the second place. I guess he didn't destroy enough stuff to their liking this first time around.

So much destruction and desecration of our public monuments and buildings.

Sickening, sickening, sickening!

Sally D.'s avatar

It's just more and more grift and corruption. I don't think he will ever be held accountable. So frustrating and irritating.

Carole Langston's avatar

CONGRESS could have stopped all of it, if it had done its job. But no.

Lynn Johnson's avatar

What about the $17 million dollars missing from the Center? Anyone wants to guess who's pocket that went in?

GraceH's avatar

I heard that there were some questions about funds being misdirected along with all the other underhanded tactics.

Jayne Spence's avatar

We will be paying for the Trump Administration for the next 100 years. 😢

We are not perfect as a nation, but our history shows we have done many good things around the world. I still cling to the idea that the rest of the world knows we are not this guy. Our friends and allies know who he is, they have seen it before.

I don't want to belittle little children so I will just class this idiot as a raging lunatic . He breaks everything in his grasp.

Skepticat's avatar

And he grasps everything.
