Personally, I thought the Democrats should not have attended the joint session out of protest given the lies this man says. Notice how he was really upset that they did not stand up and clap like the rest of the clowns. What can Democrats do? Flood the zone. Do what Bernie is doing--holding town halls in red districts. You have no idea how pissed off the American voter is now as they watch their 401K accounts tank, jobs disappear, threats to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. It's not Make America Richer, it is Make the Rich Richer!!

Either they should not attend or they should have planned an effective protest, not the lame signs. "Elon Steals"

MTG, decorum? Give me a break? The height of hypocrisy.

You're still not seeing Trump for who he is. He doesn't care about a recession, or inflation, or cancer research or veterans' services or social security. It's all a grand grift to him. When you understand that his sole object and purpose is to enrich himself (and his oligarch friends) what he's doing is understandable and predictable. HE DOESN'T CARE. He's spent his life ripping off as many people as he can. Now he's ripping off the Treasury. It's his only playbook.

I agree, but I think his MAIN goal was to stay out of jail. All that you are saying is also so true. It's like "as long as I now have this opportunity...". I wonder if Project 2025 authors are just giving him executive orders to sign, which he is happy to do for more than one reason. Ego and money is his life.

Totally behind you guys 100%. But I am sick of the Democrats asking for money. I gave Kamala almost $1,000 on a widow's pension to her candidacy. Trump Won. I am not giving another cent until the Dems tell me what they are going to do. What is their plan? NOW. Please have town. halls. Us, the citizens are going to have to take this bull by the horns..

I like the idea of your joint Town Hall. I think you should start with FL-01, FL-06, & NY-21 BEFORE the upcoming special elections. They should include the Democratic candidates.

Yes, Jim! I think it’s a GREAT idea for Michael and you to have a town hall, especially in the Heartland or other red areas where you would never be expected to go.

A lot of voters feel like only Trump has been paying attention to their struggles, but it may be beneficial if they can see someone outside of that who genuinely wants to listen, not just stoke their anger and frustration. Americans are really a lot more alike than we are different, despite what Trump has made everyone believe.

At the very least, a town hall would also give you a chance to see where there’s any room for movement and how to better approach things going forward.

As frustrated as I am with those who elected Trump, I also believe we need to give these voters a safe place to land when they choose to walk away. Not all will since many enjoy the chaos, but some are genuinely being hurt, manipulated and misinformed.

It has impressed me how quickly Canadians rallied. As a dual citizen, I look at both sides. And elbows up, another hockey phrase about getting in to the fight (the old joke, I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out), is serious. Don't mistake the tenacity and ferocity of Canadians.

Yes to the town hall! Invite Adam Kinzinger to participate. Maybe Joe Walsh, too.

Do you think Trump is making the market drop so he can buy cheap stock, and then "save" the market and he will be richer?

I wonder why we push so hard for Democrats and not discuss how to get to those who decided not to vote.

Yep; they're already calling it the "Biden Recession." Wow. How stupid do Americans need to be to believe this?

Think of Trump as a Manchurian candidate. He is a Russian asset, not an American, not a patriot. He is on full unapologetic display. He "won" the election because of Putin and Musk. The majority of voters did not vote for him. Also, for too long, election fraud has been a "third rail" for our media. We do not have free and fair elections. Electronic counting of ballots is folly. Most other democracies have soundly rejected this scheme precisely because it is so easily hackable. Please bring on Nathan from Election Truth Alliance. He's finding serious verifiable anomalies in the November 2024 election. Or Stephen Spoonamore a cyber security expert who found serious problems in his Pa. county in November. Read his Duty to Warn. Or Jonathan Simon who wrote Code Red. Until we secure our elections, we'll never get back on track. We are fools to let for-profit corporations count our ballots in secret using software they will not allow to be inspected. No respectable democracy would tolerate this.
