Made sure Schumer and Gillibrand knew they lost two lifelong Democrats (now independents) because of their cowardice.

Gillibrand surprised me. When a politician is solely worried about their next election in the face of the extinction of a democracy, they’re not the people I want there. (Unfortunately that is all politicians.) I’d think that a few of these Senators would be fighting to maintain their own relevance. Trump’s goal is to eliminate the legislative power and put it all in the executive branch so why bother electing these officials? Fight for your darned jobs, you weaklings.

Jim, the arts have always epitomized independence as well as creativity. This is why Hitler took over all artistic facilities (and because he was rejected by the most prestigious art school in Germany), revenge and rubbing it in the “arts” communities that they had to answer to him.

Trump is doing the same thing. The Eastern arts community doesn’t like him, the Hollywood elite don’t like him (with a very few exceptions) and no real art communities support him. What he’s enacting in this country is completely counter to what Art represents in the world. Freedom of expression and idealism. Independence and inclusion.

As always Trump is projecting what he does himself. He makes no acknowledgement of what he’s signing. The Heritage Foundation rep tells the felon what he’s signing.

Great show, Jim. I especially liked your words at the end about the Kennedy Center. So true what you said! Happy St. Patrick's day! ☘️☘️

Chuck is way past him time. Now, he has just shown us that he doesn't understand or doesn't care what was happening at this moment. Old rules of making a deal with the other side are gone. The other side has jumped on the train with the devil and would like to take us with them down to hell. Time to go Schumer! We need leadership that will fight, pushback and be there to pick up the pieces and build something much better.

Look at Schumer’s lovely office—what a beautiful space, with a gorgeous fireplace and luxurious furnishings. I see photos of that office, and I think “that’s the office of a person who is very very comfortable with his lifestyle…” I also wonder how much awareness he has of people who don’t work in such lovely surroundings

Schumer has got to go & so do all democrats in office who can only think of their own skin in the political race instead of what is best for their constituents & all the country. Things are not like anything in the modern history of the US, political situation. We stand to lose our constitutional government with its checks and balances designed to protect the people from corruption & tyranny. We are already losing. Who if not Democrats can stop this? Shame, shame on Schumer. Resign, all 8 dems who betrayed our best interests for their political futures.

In response to your talk about the Kennedy Center reminds me of the Nazis who went into peoples homes and stole their art. Disgraceful

A real president wouldn’t have time to be on that board. I also think he’s chasing that adulation of a crowd that he’s not getting any longer.

Excellent show today. Always appreciate hearing Michael’s perspective on what’s happening and thought Liz Oyer was a fantastic guest with important insights. As someone who’s spent their education and career in relation to the arts, your discussion at the end of the show meant a lot.

So true! How many more times do we have to see the courts taking their time to go after Trump when he breaks the law? Why can't they be more aggressive?

Well he controls all three branches and is pretty much in control of the justice departments.. not sure if the SCOTUS can move in and do it- if so - then they need to -I think they have Barrett on the good side now and maybe Roberts but i am no expert in this area

Jim Acosta and Michael Cohen, you did not include Bernie Sanders as one individual who is standing up against Trump and telling it as it is. He is as courageous as usual and lays out a plan for others to follow in order to oust this criminal Trump and his toadies.

Be clear. Trump killed VOA because Putin wanted it. That simple.

Speaking of reality tv—How can we get hold of the discarded footage from that tv series—I recall the producer admitting publicly that they had to sift through 100s of hours of crap in order to cobble together a positive image of him for that reality show … wouldn’t it be fun to share some of the discarded moments?
