Wasting my money to go to the superbowl and Daytona 500. No one needs or wants him there. Other presidents don't want to spend our taxpayer dollars that way. I didn't approve him firing all my civil servants doing the work of the people.

Leaders lead by example. If you're cutting budgets, then you pass on going to sport events like the Super Bowl and the Daytona 500. But this proves that Trump's not a leader, he's a grifter

He who saves the country does not violate the law—works both ways Trump—my be time for the lions to kill the ringmaster

He who saves the country does so in concert with the rule of law and order. He who breaks the law will be held accountable by the courts.

If it is a leader breaking the laws of the nation he leads and ignoring his oath to protect the rights of those he leads and the tenets of his nation, then all hell fire will follow and the damnation that befalls such an obscene and reckless leader should be enacted with expediency.

This was the opportunity the Republicans had in 2021 when they passed on impeaching Trump so damn them, and today I vote to starve them of their wishes for funding thru passage of their proposed budget.

Please call your representatives to hold fast and deny them for the house has rats and extermination can only be affected thru starvation.

We the people will survive what needs to be done to slam these sycophants and weaken them in the eye of their King. But we cannot recover from losing our democracy which is as I write being tossed in a pile of trash to be hauled away to the dump.

Please do not repeat what Trump says, e.g., Gulf of America. Instead, state the opposite that you know to be the truth and repeat the truth endlessly, Gulf of Mexico. Do not repeat the frames that Trump uses, instead introduce and repeat new frames, Destruction of Government by Elon, e.g., DOGE.

I think Elon is afraid of the media and the law because he knows what he and the Tangerine Tyrant are in the wrong, EVERYTHING they have done from day one has been to destroy our country. They must be STOPPED AT ALL COSTS! We need to protest peacefully, email, call, educate!!

I want Raskin in the Oval! He has some cajones, is speaking directly against Trump without waiting around for the DNC to find the bathroom.

Jamie Raskin always gives facts when criticizing Trump's actions. People should listen to Jamie Raskin, the ACLU and Democracy Forward. They don't just call Trump names, the list the ways he is breaking the law.

Jim, when you were reporting from the White House, ears perked up because you were the voice of trust, integrity, and professionalism from head to toe. I'd love to see you back there giving them a run for their money!

They're not interested in efficiency. They're interested in P O W E R so that if you don't comply with their demands, you don't access your money.

The money they get from these operations? They are to fund Trump's tax cut plan so that the billionaires' tax incentives from his last administration don't expire in March. That would take WAY too long if they did it legally and constitutionally through the Congress.

They fired FAA folks that maintain the radar (the controllers' eyes) and the ones who maintain the navigational aids that form the highways in the sky that the pilots fly, and allow aircraft to land when weather is poor. As a former air traffic controller (fired in 1981 by Reagan), I am truly scared about what's going to happen in our skies. People are going to get hurt -- badly.

Musk's son is a human shield because he knows he's a target. Trump, to his shame, did the same with his granddaughter at the Daytona 500 yesterday. Utter cowards, both of them.

Aren’t we at the point where we cannot be surprised by anything? Wouldn’t it be more pragmatic to talk about not rehashing, and instead leave people with some actions. I’m getting a sense of inertia, an uncertainty of what to do, people could/should do.

Its Presidents Day today and I have heard bits and pieces of protests happening. I would love to hear about those protests! Feeling so beat down with all this horrible information and destruction of our democracy. Any news on the protests today?

I went to a local protest today, not at the state Capitol but at the Courthouse in the town of Corvallis, OR., where I live. It was a terrific turnout. It was a buoyant experience to be among people who are like-minded in acknowledging the danger we are in if we lose our Democracy. We must fight back. No more 'tea and crumpets' ~ we need to play hardball.

find a local advocacy group or program that promotes positive social and environmental justice. A good way to get involved and to support your community networks. Online check out the political Watchdog Coalition of substack: https://www.dworkinsubstack.com/about

I’m on standby for chaotic ICE raids in my community. We work quickly and calmly, urgently getting crucial information to the detainees, and their families during messy upheavals. We connect families with local resources if the main breadwinner is detained. It’s not for everyone. We risk being arrested if there’s a bad cop on site.

When I join in on Substacks, I see a big opportunity to engage and encourage others. I want to be armed with volunteer opportunities to share in the feeds. People benefit from an holistic shift from hopelessness to helpfulness through meaningful volunteerism.

The smallest spark can build a roaring fire.
