Fantastic lineup today. Important conversations throughout and Gen. Mark Hertling’s discussion of the military was so touching and heartfelt. Good reminder of what we are all fighting for.
And yet, Federal Justice Tanya Chutkan ruled in favor of Trump in allowing Elon access to our data. Said the states didn't prove their cases of there being irreparable damage being done. I guess we're supposed to trust them? Sounded like she said the President has the right to send anyone he wants into the people's private data.
I don't begin to understand the New York Governor's weakness. Crime was admitted to on live national TV, and she has nothing to say about this or respond to??
If Mitch actually casts a vote when he is the determining vote AGAINST a MAGA stance, then I will give him a minute pinch of grace. But McConnell will be the one who will go down as a destroyer of our Senate and courts.
I am so offended by the United States. It's disgusting that we and Russia are discussing the peace treaty of Ukraine without Ukraine's input! Russia wants territory and we want half their mineral resources?! How sick is this?

How many Americans actually understand what we're losing here by throwing away all of these years collaboration with NATO Allies. With the destruction of important govt. agencies, including intelligence and military, I hope we're prepared for the attacks that will happen against us.
I don't understand military issues but I have to say that as an Australian I am becoming very concerned about our involvement in AUKUS and the nearly $5 billion dollars we've promised to shell out to buy US submarines that we won't even be allowed to operate without US Navy input. I soooo wish we'd stuck with French subs.

Our former PM (attendee at Trump's New Year's party and now working for the US military industrial complex) broke our contract with the French and the compensation bill was phenomenal. I can't imagine any politician offering up another eye watering amount to break another contract. The Trump situation magnifies the dodgy dealings of politicians all over the world.

The last two weeks for example of his term he was all over the world, and none of it was reported. He was visiting areas and addressing issues that had never been visited or addressed by a POTUS before. He used every second, every damn second of his time moving. So, if Vanity Fair wanted to cover him, they should have packed a bag and gone with him.
Biden did a damn excellent job and did so despite the worst obstruction from across the aisle than has ever been seen in certainly the last 50 years or longer. Solid obstruction. It is ridiculous to blame Biden.

If you created a list of what he accomplished it would circle the globe several times, which is still less than the number of times Biden, himself, circles the globe.

Nothing "they" say is credible it would better to not even listen for it is all lies coming from the White House. They don't even care if we listen. They are not even playing to MAGA anymore. They got what they want and give lip service. Trump and the Republicans are not looking for our vote. That concerns me. Why don't they care how we vote? Why is there not even posturing to gain favor at the time of elections? I'm concerned about it. We need to get away and out of this situation. We are not on a side downward -- we are rock bottom! Right now it is our Justice Department and Judges and Lawyers and us the people. We are at the last layer of checks and balances. And that is us the people. Us!
How is it possibly in the best interest of NYC or New York State to allow a NYC mayor to be a puppet for this corrupt administration? Gov. Hochul should remove him from office and pull NYC out from under The Felon's thumb. This is a lay up.
We do not need to spend much energy in affecting the White House actors dividing. It is predictable.
We need to continue to unite, unite, unite. We need to protest and keep showing up; after a while our numbers will grow exponentially, and with each protest we learn how to do it better. Trump loves big crowds. Let's give it to him -- big crowds peacefully but UNITED in defending our Constitution and our democracy and regaining our position in the world which is a nation others look to for help and aid. It is in our legacy and our DNA to play that role.

Now he can say he is not affiliated and has no role and not an agent of DOGE. I think it was a legal maneuver. No one in the WH is running him out. This was a DODGE, so he is not affiliated "on paper" with DOGE. Any thoughts?
