I enjoyed hearing both people today but I don't agree with Steve's Biden assessment. No one has yet to show me actual proof that Joe Biden is suffering from any mental issues or decline such as dementia or Alzheimer's, or any other form of mental deterioration. I keep waiting but they just go on and on, as Steve did, saying he cost us the election. It may be unpopular to say but I believe that, in spite of the fact that she is competent and would have made a good leader, certainly better than trump, people aren't ready for a black woman president. Hell, they aren't even ready for a woman president. It's not Hillary's fault; it's not Kamala's fault. Hillary was able to win the popular vote but Kamala couldn't even do that. And don't start in about the 100 days bs. She could have had 5 years and it wouldn't have mattered. It wasn't her fault at all. Dems need to nominate a vanilla, mid 50's, politically correct, middle of the road, religously correct male with centrist views and no history of womanizing, pedophilia, other sexual deviance, felony convictions or indictments in order to win the next election. For the record, I voted for Kamala. But I think we are too close to the end of democracy to go out on any limb and nominate anyone who is the least bit controversial in any way, shape or form.

I didn’t agree with what Steve said about President Biden either. He’s slowing down (who wouldn’t be at his age?), but cognitively, he seems very intact to me. He didn’t do well in the debate because he was sick with COVID, I believe; plus, he was probably blown away by Trump’s outrageous behavior on that stage. I think Joe Biden had a very successful presidency and accomplished many good things for the Country. His was just the leadership that we needed coming off of the disastrous Trump presidency. I still believe that had the 2024 election been free of corruption and interference that Harris & Walz would have won. I feel in my gut that between interference by Russia (disseminating an avalanche of disinformation) and Musk (possible vote tampering) that the election was thrown to Trump. I suspect fraud, where votes for Harris may have been deleted and votes for Trump added. Why there wasn’t a recount in all 7 swing states after the election, I’ll never know. There were many irregularities reported with the election and those should have been investigated by counting paper ballots and comparing them against the voting tallies. Also, it was reported that there was an unusually high percentage (7-8%, compared with the usual 1%) of bullet ballots in certain democratic districts of swing states. From what I read, those bullet ballots had votes for Trump, but no votes for down-ballot races. That’s highly irregular, so there should have been recounts in those districts of the swing states (at the very least).

It actually might have been a masterful game of long-range planning. Scream loudly that the election was stolen from you in 2020 even though it wasn't and everyone knew it. But keep screaming about it, get the opposition riled up so they have to keep repeating over and over that US elections are so clean. THEN rig 2024 yourself and no one from the losing side would dare say that the election was rigged....

Hi Renee,

I can't go along with unproven fraud allegations that caused Harris to lose. I haven't seen any evidence of voter fraud during the elction. It was a good election: no ballot boxes stuffed, no dead people voting, no one voting twice, etc I don't want to use the Repubs excuse of voter fraud when that hasn't been proven. Let's face it: trump did NOT receive the majority of votes. It was 49.8% of the total vote. there is no mandate no matter what he says and more people actually voted against him.

But I still think,, and we will never know, that Biden would have won WI and possibly PA, because of the union vote..

Hi Maggie, The problem is that there were no recounts when there should have been, so there was no investigation into the results to determine if there was evidence of fraud. Trump’s “win” made no sense to me based on a number of factors. During the campaign, Harris had a huge turnout at her rallies, Trump’s turnout was poor and dwindling over time, and his performance at his rallies was pathetic. Also, it was very surprising that he “won” all 7 swing states; I don’t think that has ever happened before in one of our elections. Also, the high percentage of bullet ballots in blue districts of swing states is very suspect. There was a letter written by an expert on this and allegedly sent to Harris while she was still VP. There was a photo of the letter in the post that I saw. In the letter, he was citing the irregularities and urging recounts in the swing states. Once I saw that, I was hoping that they were doing recounts to confirm/deny the results, but apparently that wasn’t the case. Also, Musk’s involvement in the campaign (I heard that he spent a month in PA) was highly suspect. I live in PA in a county that has a strong base of democratic voters, and I was sure that Harris would win the election based on all that I saw and heard in news coverage and locally. It is my belief that the 2016 election was stolen from Clinton by Russian interference and the 2024 election was stolen from Harris by Russian interference and possible vote fraud.

I agree, sadly! Dems need to really “wake up” and read the electorate! Dems will vote for a woman; a person of color and even a gay (I would love to see Mayor Pete run); but we have to nominate someone who will get the votes of independents and moderate Republicans!

Governor Walz seemed like a nice guy; but who the heck thought he was VP material? There were so many other better choices. Did those men not want to be on the ticket with a woman of color? Knowing it would be a career killer?

So many Americans (both men and women) are still misogynists and racists! Dems have to admit that and know that we have to have a white male President candidate! We had our great shot with Obama! He will be remembered as one of the best in history! But that won’t happen again soon! So sad!

I think Pete Buttigieg would make a fantastic president; he has a high intellect and is a decent, compassionate human being. Also, he is not afraid to talk to people, and I think that’s a reflection of his confidence, sincerity, and wanting to hear others’ point of view. I would vote for Pete Buttigieg in a heartbeat; in fact, I did in the 2020 primary.

Maybe the Dems should take a leaf out of Canada's book and select a Mark Carney type?? I hate to say that as I was so thrilled with Kamala Harris, she represented my generation of women and the contrast between her and Trump was superb. In the end, it says a lot about ourselves, rather than Harris, that she couldn't win against a lizard like Trump.

You mean in Canada? Well, all he needs to do is find an available open seat to run in and win, not convince the whole country to vote for him. That’s the difference between Canada and the US. Although of course that’s also the challenge because sometimes you can dislike the party but want the party’s leader or vice versa.

Mark Carney isn’t actually a Member of Parliament yet. He’s going to have to run for a seat. It’s one of those peculiarities; a Prime Minister is the head of the ruling party but he is also a Member of Parliament for a riding (seat in Parliament.) But Carney has never been elected, he was appointed by Trudeau. Not that he’s anything like him, but it’s kind of a Musklike situation….

Hi Deo,

I'm not sure what "rough and tough" means. I didn't mean a pushover. I meant that the person has to have no reasons for the Repubs to pick on him, and I do mean him. Biden is fine. Those that are questioning a 81 year old human being need to get with it. I hope you're as good physically and mentally at 81 as Biden. As for Harris - Walz. They were fine and almost pulled out a victory. If it wasn't for the Israeli and Hamas war. She would have won. There were many who didn't like what was happening with the Palestinians. Another factor was the price of groceries. People voted for Trump over the price off eggs and a loaf of bread, lol. Ask them how they like the higher prices now, lol. Ask them how they like him taking away their Medicaid, SNAP, VA benefits, etc.

Jeff, as a retired DOD Civil Servant, formerly working in HR, Musk doesn't have the authority to invoke a mass reduction-in-force without proper authorization typically Congress. Typically there are many steps taken which includes Congress because it affects our National Defense in support of our military. Unfortunately, he was appointed by the President and given the authority to go into these agencies and from what I understand without proper credentialing such as security clearances and thorough background checks conducted by the FBI. When I worked for the government, you could not even work at any DOD/Government Agency without the proper security clearance of atleast Secret.

I am an independent voter. The type of voter Republicans absolutely need in future elections across this nation. Now listen up Republicans, the disaster that is Donald Trump is 100% your fault. Republicans created this mess, and Republicans need to clean it up. You did this, now own it, and do something about it. Who among you is going to step forward, stop this madness, and stop Donald Trump?

You knew he was a liar, cheat, sexual predator, conman, fraud, thief, racist, and chauvinist. You knew he was a failed businessman. He could not run a New Jersey casino where the house always wins, except under Trump management. You knew he and his family enriched themselves with taxpayer money while he was in office. You knew he lost the 2020 election and then started the Big Lie. You knew he bribed the President of Ukraine for political favors not just once, but he did it again extorting rare earth minerals. You knew he planned, funded, and directed the insurrection on January 6. You knew he was impeached twice for these illegal actions. You knew he is in love with dictators including Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Xi and said he would be America’s dictator. You knew he was convicted by a jury of his peers 34 times of felonies. You knew he gave US secrets to the Russians in the first week he was in office. You knew he stole more secrets and hid them in his Mar-a-Logo bathroom. You heard him say that he is going to arrest and execute people on his enemies list. You heard him say that his own vice president should be hung. You saw him wrap himself in the Bible while repeatedly violating all ten of God’s Commandments. Face it, Donald Trump is a criminal who thinks with a criminal mind, and he acts with criminal intent. You supported him, empowered him, laughed at his sick jokes, and then you voted for him. You knew who he was then and, you know who he is now. All the pain, suffering, and lawlessness that he is unleashing upon the United States and the world, is 100% your fault!

What next? More unproductive tariff wars? How’s your stock value doing? Do you want to hear more talk about a recession? Greenland? Panama? Gulf of America? Canada? Gaza? NATO? Medicare? Social Security? Healthcare? What about hiring “the best” people? Tulsi Gabbard? Pete Hegseth? Kash Patel? Bobby Kennedy? Linda McMahon? Stephen Miller? Really? Really? Come on! Oh yeah, let’s not forget Elon Musk. Musk is a viper who is wrapping himself around your economic throat and he is about to squeeze out your remaining economic life. Remember you caused this too!

Trump is Putin’s pawn and Putin’s appeaser. How did it work out for the world when Neville Chamberlain appeased Hitler? My father went to war in Europe with a million others to fight the Nazis. I do not want my grandson, or yours, to fight that war all over again because Trump is being controlled by Putin and Musk.

Lastly, ask yourself, what was the real price of those eggs? Your freedom? Your economic life? Did you sellout America for the price of eggs? Did you sacrifice our Constitution, our Presidency, our society for the false promise of a few pieces of silver? For Christ’s sake Republicans, stop Trump now! Trump is your mess. Be a leader, act now, clean this garbage up! Your children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren will benefit if you do.

I think Schmidt was okay--I happen to be a dual citizen, Canadian/American AND an Arizona resident who grew up in a neighborhood that was filled with Iron Curtain refugees in the 1950s--but Snell seemed to have so much interesting info to share and he didn't get enough time.

Stop blaming Joe. What if Kamala actually won????? Elon says he would never trust a computer to count his votes. Why would we? Trump said to the world that "Elon really knows those computers" and gave him credit for delivering Pennsylvania. PLEASE look to Election Truth Alliance, Stephen Spoonamore and Jonathan Simon. Stop being afraid to talk about this! Unless the media takes a hard look at this they'll continue to steal elections. Forget believing that the midterms will save us. They won't! Why are we one of the only democracies that let's for-profit, republican-owned corporations count our ballots in secret?? Think this is tinfoil hat conspiracy nonsense? His Grandfather (Haldeman) was a technocrat, google "Technocracy Inc". Grampa was arrested by the RCMP for being subversive to Canada during the second world war. They wanted a world where a few scientists/engineers ran the world and there was no democracy. He ran for office, but didn't get elected... and eventually moved to South Africa because the Haldemans (his mum's maiden name) agreed with the Apartheid movement.
