Hi Jim and Keith, not all of us "old folks" are caught in the past. I'm 92, but I've been a liberal progressive for 86 years. I'm decrepit but I'm still fighting a hard as I can (not as physically as I did during civil rights - but still kicking and screaming)

I'm "only" 78, but bleeding heart liberal progressive, and refuse to give up those words, just because "conservatives" use them as insults.

Great guests today! April, your tears broke my heart today but inspired me to fight on for the voiceless, for the marginalized, for the needy, for our history, and for democracy! That man on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is trying to erase our past and steal our future! We The People WILL NOT let him!

Yes some enslaved Blacks helped build the White House, along with other people who were free, and some white people.

But mostly black slaves

Yes, I am well aware of that, though it may not be "mostly black slaves", we do not really know the actual numbers. Though when Europeans first came to the New World of North America they brought with them white and black "indentured servants", over time the white indentured servants were set free and the practice was abandoned altogether leaving only Africans or people with African ancestry as slaves. Still at that time women in general were basically void of rights as well such as the right to vote, the right to control property (unless they were not married or had no father) ect. A married woman was a slave to her husband. Black men got emancipation and the right to vote before women got same at least in USA. Soujourner Truth a female abolitionist and former slave advocated for giving women the right to vote at the same time men of African descent got the write to vote, but this never happened in her lifetime, though it did eventually happen as we know.

Can one of you get Maureen Comey to comment on the Epstein case (now that’s she’s been fired)? What kind of dirt is Trump really looking for?

I am voting for the proposition to gerrymander November 4th. I am a supporter of independent redistricting. I was actually on the list of candidates to sit on the commission, I had to back out because my job required traveling constantly to the East Coast. So, yes, I think this is the fairest way to block the maggots from disenfranchising thousands of voters.

Crime maps of cities of where to live are common. Someone should flood the Internet with the crime maps of major cities in Red States.

Aaron, my earliest recollection of a president was the whistlestop John Kennedy made in Red Bluff, California. Then, after being elected, he came back to dedicate the Whiskeytown dam which became Shasta lake.

I think the motion of breaking the shackles should be the motion of all Americans protesting this administration.

5 Brothers named McAtee were released from prison in Ireland in 1712 under the watchful eye of Lord Baltimore. They crewed on his ship across the Atlantic to help with the settlement of Lord Baltimore's New Town and were let ashore there. I have never been to Baltimore, Maryland, but it is on my bucket list. I think I will wait until Trump is no where near, hopefully in prison. Ironic, Huh?

Sorry, one more thing. Regarding The NY Times article about the terrible Dem registration numbers, would be great if you would have Ken Martin on the show and ask him what he’s doing about that. Thanks Jim for all you are doing.
