What’s right not only comes first — what’s right wins.

Great quote. I've been thinking a lot about Shelley's "Ozymandias," too, lately.

We get through this by looking at human nature and history and recognizing that he and his minions are digging their own graves, and the chances that it will take 4 years are nil.

Breonna Taylor Case: The 1 day in prison issue blew me away. Who's ever heard of anything like this before! This narcotics raid was on the WRONG home! Outrageous!

Ezra Levin and his wife, Leah Greenberg, have built a tremendous platform for Americans who love our democracy to stand on and be heard across this country.

I'm very grateful they took the initiative to help people organize because our elected Democratic politicians either can't or deliberately won't organize as a cohesive group, find and empower a great speaker on our behalf and take the fight to the "radical right" fascists and their current mentally ill, malignant narcissist leader.

Also, three cheers for the dedicated, honest, media reporters on Substack and Youtube, beginning to weave themselves into a band of reliable truthtellers who are picking up the banner for "truth, justice and the American way."

Jim I worship the ground this woman walks on. My father taught history at college level. And this woman knows more than he did about history

Thank you, Jim, for what you do. I loved the conversation with Heather Cox Richardson. She is a national treasure. Her honesty, her love of history, her unique ability to communicate, and her genuine compassion for her fellow humans speaks loudly. I loved her concept of a news community because being a part of a community is a universal human need. And independent media is providing a good option. Contrary to how I feel when I'm watching legacy news, when I'm listening to you and other independent news providers, I feel like you are in my home, talking to me. I feel like part of the news. Keep doing what you are doing and the community will continue to grow.

Jim, Your force is 'yourself.' That's the gift this new independent form gives us consumers. We won't follow those we don't trust -- authenticity is critical. Heather's view of the media news web you podcasters are allowing to evolve, has been developing among all of you, and we benefit by hearing and comparing your views on what's relevant. I am most gratified and my knowledge is most greatly edified when I can draw on the points of view from my most valued others.

Stand in gratitude and keep going. And thank you so much for your dialogue today with HCR. As my mother used to say, "She's a Good One!" Barbara Epperson, PhD

Your interviews with Heather Cox Richardson and Ezra Levin were brilliant. The three of you imparted courage, determination, strength, hope and community. Thank you for lifting up your Substack subscribers. Thank you for ending this dreadful week of Trumpian hell with truth and optimism.

Dr. Richardson’s comments about the similarities between the Epstein crew and the southern slaveowners of the 1850’s makes one thing clear. Donald Trump would have felt right at home as a large plantation slaveowner with all the power they had. That says a great deal that perhaps we have not taken sufficiently into account.

Oh yes..re: The Epstein Files. I would like to see more emphasis from independent media sources re: the horrific and disgusting atrocities towards the underage, non consenting women. Where are the ethics, morals, and virtues of these sick and disgusting men who have been identified in these files?

14 year old women were scarred for life! Once again, women literally have to take it in the ass or where ever else these sick and pathetic “men” wanted to find their perverse pleasure. Could we please focus more on the atrocities done to these young women? I hate to break it to you but even if tRump is in these files, ( if the shoe fits), most likely nothing will come of it. Let’s focus also about the thinking and disgusting behavior these sick, men displayed and carried out. Raping a woman is not manliness, it’s pitiful, insecure, and truly pathetic behavior. Please focus also about your second class citizens/victims called women.

When you win - you have the power. Trump owns all 3 branches of government. I always said - he's never to be underestimated and all are bending to his will. The Democrats need to learn how to win again in this paradigm. It's taking them too long. It's pathetic.
