I wish you would be focusing on the ramifications of the devastating BBB. The Epstein Files are a purposefully timed distraction from the BBB! Disgusting!!! Terrible consequences for the majority of Americans!
It doesn't seem to be too far left to talk about affordability, whether in housing, food, childcare, and all the other domestic issues that most ordinary people grapple with daily. That's just everyday issues that people have to sstruggle with all over the country. I'm a low income person, I get by, I'm going on 87. Sure, I'm dependent on social security and a small, self-funded pension. I'd say there are millions of people throughout the country who just don't have high earnings and they need some help from politicians to at least acknowledge that issues with basic costs exist.
Re: Momdani--you ignore a key point, which is that he is YOUNG. Sykes is clearly moderate. Momdani is not "out there," and I disagree with his assertion that he is not in the tradition of European social democracy. Sure he is. And he is young, and has terrific appeal to young people (and to me, tho I am in my late 70s).
Fabulous! I'm thrilled to have caught this conversation live. Jim or shall we call you "Clark Kent?" Excellent show with Waj. That dude riffs like a champ. He even got you to laugh! Hope you have the opportunity/time to invite Waj to return as a guest again. Thank you. Stay safe.
Trump's entire cabinet and the GOP are so corrupt, and Americans should not believe nor be confident that this Republican Party will ever again have the nation's best interests front and center. Disgusting policies and no accountability.
We have a monster in the White House, one on so many levels. In regard to Epstein Files, no surprise there. DOJ & FBI headed by Trump appointees, case closed!
I am beyond excited that you had Wajahat Ali on!!! You two are my favorites!!! I subscribe to you both and appreciate your voices for those who don't have the ability to speak. Please meet up again soon... or even better, regularly!!!
More excellent discussion today, made even better while listening in my car stopped on the side of the road during a nasty thunderstorm with amazingly heavy rain. Somehow seemed right. The complexities of each issue these days is stunning but somehow they are all related. Thank you again and again for bringing it all together. Gives me so very much to think about and to rehash and discuss afterwards with my dear sweet partner.
Rather than throw out labels - I notice how the first thing is "we don't want a socialist" - maybe what y'all should consider is that most people know government does not care about them. We are not pleased with the level of economic inequality. I don't care what you call it - 1% of the country controlling most of the assets is unsustainable.

Ingrid, the Epstein Files are a significant crack in the Trump cult foundation. Bring down the house. Yes, the BBB is devastating, we can do both. :-)

You can't believe a word that Trump says.
Trump & his minions cannot keep their lies straight!!

It's so great that Waj has had his caffeine today! Awesome show!
Very nice interview. Thank you, Mr. Acosta. Thank you. Mr. Sykes also.

I really enjoyed today's conversations. Thank you, Jim, for inviting a variety of guests.
